Wicksite, Satterlyite, & Maricite - Big Fish River, Yukon, Canada
5.2 x 2.6 x 2.1 cm ( 2 x 1 x 3/4 inches)
An area of black Wicksite measuring 5 x 4 mm is associated with brown Satterlyite and purple-grey Maricite in a phosphate nodule. Also present is some metallic Pyrite. The Wicksite is best seen in the center of the close up photos.
This is the Type Locality for the minerals Wicksite, Satterlyite, and Maricite.
An excellent example of these three rare phosphates together in the same specimen.
