The rock was found, on the ground,
surface at
Jurassic Canyon, near Grants
NM. It was prospected during July 2019.
Its activity level is in the faster
range,
relative to other similar natural rocks and
above that of FiestaWare red plates.
Its 96k cpm response rate is approximately
3.2 times that measured from FiestaWare
ceramic dinner plates crafted during the
FiestaWare uranium era,
1936-1943.
The one white dot, seen in photos, identifies
the surface area with fastest activity.

WHAT TYPE OF MINERAL
IS THE ROCK?
It is likely carnotite uranium, a
common uranium-bearing mineral at
Jurassic Canyon NM.  The rock is NOT
florescent under UV light; it has crusts
and flakes in light brown sandstone.
Advice from geologists who can identify this
ore more precisely will be appreciated.The
Canyon is approximately 20 miles NW
from Grants NM.  It is part of the "New
Mexico Uranium Belt;"  65% of all uranium
ore ever produced in the USA came from
mines located within 60 miles of this site.
This handsome rock was made in USA!

FOR URANIUM MINING
Historically, more uranium has been mined in
New Mexico than in any other state. WYOMING
has richer uranium reserves, but these are too
deep underground for large-scale mining to
be economically practical. VIRGINIA has
an absolutely gigantic uranium reserve at
Coles Hill VA, but in November 2019, the
U.S. Supreme Court upheld Virginia's
state law that bans any uranium mining. If
you buy this rock, I will send a U.S. national
map that shows many uranium sites across
the "lower 48" U.S. states.
