    Antique solid brass Lionel Corporation New York wagon odometer is in great condition and comes with its original leather case with interior tin lining that holds the odometer in place. Designed to be strapped to the wagon wheel which then records each revolution of the wheel to determine miles traveled. The case is marked THE LIONEL MFG. CO. in a circular logo
    Many applications including measuring distance when wagon trains were traveling, surveying, mapping and military during World War I.
    Very rare and interesting piece of history
